As the predator hones in on its prey, the food lies still. Awaiting for the moment it must run. But nothing happens! There are just clicks of cameras for the next one hour. Life of food in the modern times as it gets colder and colder. And that's what happened at the Hash Kitchen opening event.
Hash Kitchen, the newest addition to the Phoenix food scene, is the ultimate brunch destination for all you foodies out there! Recently, I (The AZFOODGUY) had the opportunity to dine there with a group of influencers and let me tell you, it was a brunch experience like no other.
As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a lively and energetic atmosphere. The restaurant was bustling with people, and the DJ was playing some killer tunes that instantly got us in the mood to party. But the real showstopper for me was the champagne wall - it was a unique and eye-catching feature that made for the perfect Instagram backdrop for this influencer party. There was also a glitter wall.
We started off our meal with some mouth-watering pancakes and waffles, which were served with a variety of toppings and syrups. Tsunami style. Which means the syrup drenched the delicious pancakes. The pancakes were fluffy and light, and the waffles were crispy and golden brown. But the real game-changer for me was the giant bacon - it was thick, meaty and had just the right amount of smokiness. I mean, who doesn't love bacon? Probably not the healthiest thing so I have to hit the gym later.
Don't know why but I can take pictures of bacon forever for the AZFOODGUY account. Plus, it had GOLD on it.
After we finished our breakfast items, it was time to move on to the fun stuff. And let me tell you, the fun stuff was a real treat! We had the opportunity to build our own bloody Mary drinks, which came loaded with all sorts of toppings and garnishes. From pickled vegetables to bacon, the possibilities were endless. It was like a bloody Mary buffet and we had a blast experimenting with different combinations of ingredients. And let me tell you, these bloody Marys were not for the faint-hearted!
In addition to the bloody Marys, we also enjoyed a variety of cocktails throughout the meal. The drinks were expertly crafted, and they paired perfectly with the food. We particularly enjoyed some signature Hash Kitchen cocktails. I mean, who doesn't love a good cocktail?
As we were finishing up our meal, Chef Joey came out to meet us and take some pictures. It was a great touch, and it really made us feel like VIPs. Chef Joey was very friendly and personable, and he was happy to answer any questions we had about the menu. It's always good to see him!
All in all, it was an amazing experience. The food was delicious, the drinks were expertly crafted, and the atmosphere was lively and fun. We had a great time at Hash Kitchen, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and exciting dining experience. If you're ever in west Phoenix, be sure to check it out! Trust me, you won't regret it. The restaurant is located near the Arrowhead mall, so it's the perfect spot to hit up after a bit of shopping or even a movie. And if you're like me, you'll definitely want to go back for seconds (or even thirds!)
